Photography Holidays and Workshops
My name is Jonathan Ingram and I run My Mountain Chalets in Samoëns, Grand Massif, in the Rhone Alps.
I am writing to you to make yourself and your club members aware of our two chalets in Samoëns as I feel they would be ideally suited and located in the perfect place for photographers to enjoy a group or family photographic holiday.
Our chalets Marvel and Marmotte are identical and next door to each other, both sleeping 12 people in 5 bedrooms (maximum of 24 people) and are run either on a fully catered or self catered basis. Each chalet has off-road parking, a car port and a garage and they both share the garden and heated swimming pool, making it a beautiful place to relax and bath in the sunshine.
Samoëns, in the Giffre Valley, is less than an hour by car from Geneva, so it is very easy to get to. It is also one of the most picturesque medieval villages in the French Alps, having won awards for its unspoilt beauty and 'ville fleurie'. It is completely unspoilt and still very French and traditional, with it's famous local market on Wednesdays and a botanical garden in the centre of the village.
The opportunities for photographers around the valley are endless, from the sapphire coloured Lac Bleu and Lac aux Dammes (only 10 minutes walk from the chalets) to the pointy peaks of mount Criou rising high above and towering over the village. If you take a day out walking up the valley, you can reach 12 amazing cascading waterfalls and perhaps be lucky enough to get a shot of the Bearded Vultures, Eagles or Chamois. Or just spend your days wandering through the flower filled meadows. There is so much beauty in the valley that I could go on for ever.
For the family, there are plenty of activities, including mountain biking or road cycling, climbing, hiking, via ferrata, white water rafting, canoeing, paragliding, high ropes course, horse riding, water sports or just playing in the garden and swimming pool.
We would be happy to offer discounts to photographic clubs if they wanted to book the chalet for a trip, workshop or course, or if individuals wanted to book the chalet for their family and friends. With prices as low as £600 for the whole chalet for the week on a self catered basis (with 10 people, that's only £60 per person) during the off peak times, it's a bargain that should not be missed.
I would be most grateful if you could either circulate this email around the members of your club or post it up on a notice board or similar.
You can find much more information on the chalets and the village on our website at http://www.mymountainchalets.com or take a look at our trip advisor reviews from previous guests (a link can be found at the bottom of this email).
Thank you very much for your time and please do not hesitate to contact me should you wish to discuss any discounts or ask any questions.
Kind Regards,
Jonathan.

Dear Grange PS
My name is Peter Leeming and I am contacting you with details of my "Mountain Landscapes" and "Searching for Depth" lectures should you and your Camera Club / Photographic Society be interested in booking me as a Guest Speaker.
Previews of my lectures can be viewed on my website:
http://www.peterleemingphotography.com/index.php/info/lectures
Briefly... I have been a professional landscape photographer for five years, and along with my partner Ruth Fairbrother, I established the Gallery Within at the Joe Cornish Galleries, Northallerton in October 2011. In November 2011, my landscape photography workshops and images were featured on ITV's "Adventurer's Guide to Britain" with Gethin Jones. I am a Biologist, a teacher, and I have climbed mountains for as long as I can remember. I have attached my Bio, and full details about my work can be found on my website.
The Clubs and Societies that have booked me for 2012 and 2013 have booked both lectures as this offers a good balance of subject matter and duration, with time for questions and a break in the middle.
Both lectures are fully digital and I use my own WXGA Digital Projector and sound system.
As far as my fees, it tends to depend on the size of the Club, the travelling involved (and whether my travelling can be combined with something else in order to keep costs down), and also the duration I am booked for.
If you require further details about the lectures, especially dates and fees, and a booking form, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Please feel free to forward this e mail to your Club members or any other interested parties.
Thank you for your attention,
Kind regards
Peter

Local Stock Photography contact.
Dear Grange & District Photographic Society
I have recently set up UK themed micro stock photo library website and would grateful if you could pass this information on to any interested parties within your club.
Local Stock Photography is aimed at photographers (both amateur and professional) who have or can take photographs of a high standard of the UK and all that it entails.
We Do Not Take Commission!
Local Stock has been developed to be a photographer driven stock site and as such we have taken the unique decision not to take any commission from member photo sales. To enable us to promote and host the site we do take a small membership fee of £30.00 + vat (per annum) or £150 + vat (for life).
Introductory Offer!
As Local Stock is in its infancy and we are trying to increase the volume of images on the site we have decided to introduce a very special introductory offer for the first 1000 members signing up. We are offering the first 1000 members the chance to sign-up for life for a one-off fee of £30 + vat. Once a photographer has signed up, they are free to start uploading images of the UK and start earning 100% commission from their photo’s straight away!
Our Promotional Strategy!
We have teamed up with a UK marketing agency who have developed a marketing strategy for Local Stock, which is currently underway and will be very much an ongoing part of our promotion. We have also developed extensive contacts within the NHS, Local Councils and Media Agencies and we are confident in achieving excellent photo sales figures in the coming months.
Photographer Community!
We hope that the site will become more than just a stock photo site and will provide a community-based platform for photographers to share ideas, tips and experiences. All members will have access to our blogs and social networking sites which offer site news, tips and tutorials, product reviews, and member competitions.
For full details please check out our site at www.local-stock.co.uk.
Thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing your members online.
Kind regards
Brian Doran
