As member of the Society for International Nature & Wildlife, I would a
suspect members of the club would have numerous images that could be
entered into our Nature section. There are ten sections in all.
Please don't be put off by the grand title of the awards. Our goal is
to promote photography from amateurs who simply posses a love for the
medium.
If you have any questions please let me know
Best wishes,

From: Fiona Turnbull
[fiona@lacockphotography.com]
Message: My husband & I have just opened
a new Photography Gallery & Photography training school in the National
Trust village of Lacock, Wiltshire - ‘the birthplace of photography’.
Students who attend our courses really appreciate the facilities we
have here – it is an idyllic location and we have a fully pc equipped
training room which make for an ideal photography learning environment.
In addition, our tutors are all professionals who are experts in their
field and have a real flare for delivering photography training.
I would be much obliged if you would pass on our details to your camera
club members. We are very pleased to offer your members a 10% discount
on any of our training courses. Check out our new course schedule for

A request for Wedding photography
Photography
From: Val Snowdon [valsnowdon@aol.com]
Message: Hello, I'm
hoping you can help me. My daughter is getting married next year at the
Castle Inn in Bassenthwaite, and is obviously looking for a
photographer, but is on a fairly tight budget. I am a keen amateur but
she does not want me to have to worry about photographs on the day.
I was wondering if you have any members who may be interested in
wedding photography, preferably not of the standard fixed smile pose
type !!.
Thank you, Val

As a former club website administrator I know how annoying some messages can be. However I hope you will direct your members to www.wildlifephotographyfieldcraft.co.uk, which describes a course aimed at teaching wildlife field craft as well as wildlife photography. Tutors are Susan Young ARPS, Ian Parsons (well known wildlife expert often seen on TV ) and deer expert Tony Potter. This is a unique course based in Devon.
The Photography Days at the new Devon Wildlife Visiitor Centre may also be of interest.
Thank you

As a volunteer member of the T.I.C. Grange I've just returned from an open evening invitation at the new Lakeland Motor Museum at Backbarrow. Much more than a motor museum it has loads of historical stuff relating to the locality with several small screen DVD presentations around the site. There is a Bluebird museum alongside with replicar cars and boat of the Campbells and a very good Cafe serving refreshments and light meals etc. Well worth a visit.

Local Stock Photography contact.
Dear Grange & District Photographic Society
I have recently set up UK themed micro stock photo library website and would grateful if you could pass this information on to any interested parties within your club.
Local Stock Photography is aimed at photographers (both amateur and professional) who have or can take photographs of a high standard of the UK and all that it entails.
We Do Not Take Commission!
Local Stock has been developed to be a photographer driven stock site and as such we have taken the unique decision not to take any commission from member photo sales. To enable us to promote and host the site we do take a small membership fee of £30.00 + vat (per annum) or £150 + vat (for life).
Introductory Offer!
As Local Stock is in its infancy and we are trying to increase the volume of images on the site we have decided to introduce a very special introductory offer for the first 1000 members signing up. We are offering the first 1000 members the chance to sign-up for life for a one-off fee of £30 + vat. Once a photographer has signed up, they are free to start uploading images of the UK and start earning 100% commission from their photo’s straight away!
Our Promotional Strategy!
We have teamed up with a UK marketing agency who have developed a marketing strategy for Local Stock, which is currently underway and will be very much an ongoing part of our promotion. We have also developed extensive contacts within the NHS, Local Councils and Media Agencies and we are confident in achieving excellent photo sales figures in the coming months.
Photographer Community!
We hope that the site will become more than just a stock photo site and will provide a community-based platform for photographers to share ideas, tips and experiences. All members will have access to our blogs and social networking sites which offer site news, tips and tutorials, product reviews, and member competitions.
For full details please check out our site at www.local-stock.co.uk.
Thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing your members online.
Kind regards
Brian Doran
