Landscape Trust Photographic Competition 2016
A new local photographic competition sponsored by the Landscape Trust
02/01/2016
The Landscape Trust is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2016, and to mark the occasion we are holding a photographic competition with the theme: the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – an extraordinary place.
The competition is now open for entries, which need to be digital images with a maximum file size of 5MB, taken in the AONB. There are six categories, as follows:
• Panorama – a great view. Single images or stitched photomerges welcome.
• Wonderfully Wild – birds, animals, trees, butterflies, flowers etc.
• My favourite building – from history to the present day. Includes limekilns, bridges etc.
• Rock of Ages – limestone features and other rocks of the area.
• In black and white – a monochrome or sepia image.
• Loving it – people in the AONB, whether living here, visiting, volunteering, or just enjoying.
The ten best pictures entered in each category will be shortlisted and a quality A4 size print made for display at an exhibition in Arnside Educational Institute on 7th and 8th May 2016. The print is yours to keep after the exhibition, and there is £500 in prize money to be won, including £50 each for the best two pictures by persons aged under 16.
You can enter as many of the above categories as you like, and one or two pictures in each category. For an entry form, goto LINK or write to: The Old Station Building, Arnside, Carnforth LA5 0HG. You only need to complete one entry form, no matter how many pictures you are entering.
